Our WorkPlace Wednesday webinar series has been so popular that we are sure you know all about it. However, knowing that we are all very busy, we thought it would be useful to give you a recap of what has happened so far, including the opportunity to watch previous episodes, and your last chance to register for the last episode in series 1.

The Paramount WorkPlace eProcurement suite has a seamless interface into the Dynamics GP solution, extending your Dynamics GP solution to add that eProcurement capability. It is a popular solution, for reasons such as:

• Rich functionality.
• The extensive use it has within Dynamics GP.
• Particularly within the current situation with people working remotely, it has moved from a product that adds efficiency and effectiveness, to almost becoming an essential part of an organisations GP solution.
• Paramount Technologies are continuing to enhance the solution and offer new things in the range.

Delving into what is New, Possible, and Great about WorkPlace;
below are some of the key points we took from the first episode.

MODERN USER INTERFACE:

• Announcements appear at the top of the screen. You can post announcements for users, and request confirmation for when they have seen that message.
• It is colourful and attractive, so if someone within your organisation is good with html, it is no problem for your homepage to be customised to your preference.
• Lookup suggestions gives the ability to type only a few letters in a search, and WorkPlace will bring up suggestions. This can be turned off if this does not fit your requirements.
• When completing a requisition, suggestions populate as you go in relation to the information you are entering.
• All the actions have been moved to the top of the screen, similar to what Microsoft did within Dynamics GP.

POWER REPORTING METRICS:

• Have the option to create an unlimited number of charts, metrics, and reports.
• You can display up to nine items, with the ability to choose what you want to see.
• You can create specific metric charts of information that are of use to certain users.
• It allows for you to keep the users outside of Dynamics GP up to date with what is happening.
• Metrics follow through on each of the modules, so security rights will depend on what each user is able to see.

MOBILE REQUISITION, SHOPPING, AND APPROVALS:

• When entering a receipt, you can take a photo of a receipt or choose a photo already in your camera roll. When scanning this receipt, it will find all the relevant information and find the best field for that information.
• You can edit the fields the information goes in to, and choose which expenses you want to use.
• Can calculate an expense for travel by utilising addresses and maps, with WorkPlace calculating the mileage and relevant expense.

ADHOC APPROVALS:

• It adds extra flexibility for your procurement approval process.
• This functionality is ideal if an expense is above your level of authority, and you need someone else’s eyes.

OCR SMART INVOICE CAPTURE:

• Within OCR there is a queue, which can be populated by sending in emails, or drag and drop.
• It picks up the invoice number, brings the ABN through from ATO, and you can re-teach the screen parts that it may have missed.

ATTACHMENTS:

• You can send attachments in emails, for example review email, approval email, etc, removing the need for an approver to log in to WorkPlace.
• You can attach to historical documents.
