Case Management App on Microsoft Power Platform
A Queensland-based healthcare and not-for-profit organisation maintains service excellence through a low-code Employee Coaching App.
This growing not-for-profit organisation providing holistic healthcare services in Queensland wanted a structured way to support the critical training and staff development needs of its practitioners, staff, and volunteers and allow them to grow in their areas of expertise. They knew their organisation could also deliver higher quality healthcare services to its patients with continued knowledge sharing, skill development, and internal mentoring. They envisaged this would be best managed through an automated case management app to streamline various coaching requests and ensure coaching programs were completed.
Having previously rolled out Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate internally, the not-for-profit also wanted to adopt best-practice approaches to building apps in Power Platform. After learning from their previous Wild West approach to adopting Power Platform, they wanted to ensure that the next application they developed would help them mature in their internal low-code application development practice.
Professional Advantage (PA) established this not-for-profit's Power Platform best practices through the PA Smart Apps Framework (formerly Power Apps Lifecycle Accelerator). PA Smart Apps Framework is a set of Power Platform best practice approaches to app building, with reusable components, standardised look and feel, governance frameworks, and optimised deployment environments. This became quintessential to this not-for-profit’s ability to scale its Power App developments easily and consistently and extend beyond its Case Management/Coaching App requirement.
PA then designed and implemented a Power Apps-enabled Coaching App that allowed them to manage their five stages of internal coaching:
