End of Life Announcement for ePay and eRemit

Professional Advantage is announcing the end of sale for all versions of ePay and eRemit, effective from 1st September 2019.

Why are we doing this?

  • ePay and eRemit are not compliant with SunSystems v6.4+.
  • ePay and eRemit functionality has been replaced by B4Bv6.

What this means for you:

  • There will be no further enhancements to ePay and eRemit.
  • No new-format development orders for ePay will be accepted after 31st December 2019.
  • End of support:
    • Help desk support will be limited only.
    • Bug fixes and enhancements only in the B4B product going forward.
    • Telephone support will continue until 30th June 2020.
  • Mandatory bank format change requests (changes to formats mandated by the bank) will only be accepted up until 31st December 2019.

Professional Advantage encourage you to plan an upgrade to B4Bv6.3 or

later which includes both payments and email remittances.

ePay customers either with or without eRemit.

There is no software charge nor annual maintenance increase to upgrade to B4Bv6.3+ unless a new format is required for development. You will be provided with both ePay and B4B licence keys to allow for parallel operation on request for up to 6 months. Services to perform the upgrade will be chargeable. You will have access to the remittance functionality in B4Bv6 if configured, under the same serialisation.

Example 1: A site that has 2 users of ePay with one bank format.

When moving to B4Bv6, you will recieve a licence key for 2 users of B4B, enabling access to both the payments and the remittance areas. If the format is available in the B4B library, there is no cost to you other than services.

Example 2: A site that has 2 users of ePay with one bank format and 1 end user of eRemit.

When moving to B4Bv6, you will receive a licence key for 3 users of B4B enabling access to both the payments and the remittance areas. If the format is available in the B4B library, there is no cost to you other than services.

eRemit only customers.

There is no software charge nor annual maintenance increase to upgrade to B4Bv6.3+ if you are wishing to just access the remittance area.

You will be provided with both eRemit and B4B licence keys to allow for parallel operation on request for up to 6 months. Services to perform the upgrade will be chargeable.

If you wish to access the payments area, you will need to purchase a format from our library or a new format development. You will have access to the payment functionality in B4Bv6 if configured, under the same serialisation and on purchase of a format.

Example 3: A site that has 2 users of eRemit.

When moving to B4Bv6, you will receive a licence key for 2 users of B4B that would cover both the payments and the remittance areas. However, the payments area will not be able to be utilised unless configured and a format purchased and serialised for.
