App registrations and consent.

Third-party apps quietly gain access to company data through OAuth permissions. Visibility for these permissions lives entirely outside Secure Score, in tools like Defender for Cloud Apps.

Email authentication.

SPF, DKIM, and DMARC misconfigurations open the door to impersonation attacks, and they are only loosely reflected in your score.

SharePoint and OneDrive sharing.

Secure Score reflects a point-in-time configuration, not ongoing drift.

Teams external access.

Great for collaboration, easy to lose track of if guest access is not actively governed—an area Secure Score barely touches.

Licensing.

Chances are you are paying for more seats or tiers than your organisation is actually using. Secure Score measures security configuration, not cost. It won't flag waste at all.
