Business Process & Intelligence Team
Professional Advantage has been designing, implementing and supporting process orientated solutions for over 18 years.
Building on our natural process orientation PA added Flowcentric Business Process Management Suite to its solution set
some 4 years ago. Flowcentric can deliver anything from process automation to a full enterprise wide process management framework. It provides the basis for products such as Workflow for SunSystems and iPOS 3P.
PA also has a range of Business Intelligence offerings from reporting and analytics, budgeting, forecasting, through to full
enterprise planning. Professional Advantage formed a new team late last year; the Business Process and Intelligence Team,
also known as BPI.
BPI combines products, skills and experience from its existing teams alongside some new talent to deliver additional value
for our clients.
Our Process Centric BI solutions are ‘an intelligent way of doing business”. A process creates data, yields intelligence, which
drive business outcomes.
The BPI Team includes very talented and experienced PA long termers such as Peter Mayall, Gary Sheppard and Andreas Laubscher and many fresh faces such as Ryan. Ryan and his wife Celeste have arrived from South Africa and are now
starting their new life in Australia. Ryan was a Flowcentric Solutions Architect responsible for process design, development
and implementation with clients including SABMiller, Deutsche Bank Securities and lots of breweries! Ryan’s past life also
includes cricket coaching and so no sledging. |

Melbourne Team Expands
Due to the increased business activity in Melbourne, we are pleased to welcome three staff members to the Melbourne SunSystems team.
With a combined 18 years of experience Dipankar Mitra, Kitty Shiu and Brenden Dey are now well established in the Melbourne office. The team brings with them not just Infor SunSystems experience but also interests in business process management.
This will of course compliment the new Business Process & Intelligence Team.

systems@work
systems@work is split in to two components: time@work and expense@work. Currently the latest released version is 3.1.3 for both time@work and expense@work. The software vendor LLP has a policy of enhancing the product regularly through new releases and so you might notice a great deal of releases usually fairly quickly. LLP have mastered the upgrade process and upgrading to a later version often simply means installing the new version and the database/s are upgraded as they are opened in the new release.
The intention of version 3 and its releases was to greatly enhance the performance aspects of systems@work as well as to fully support SQL 2005 and .NET framework version 2.0. Version 3 has also gone a long way to providing maintenance aspects over
the browser as well as significant changes to budgeting and diary management. With version 3 you also have attendance record keeping capability and additional routing capabilities.

If you have the COBOL version of Bank Reconciliation, EFT and Deposit Slips & Receipting, please contact your Account Manager to discuss the benefits of upgrading to the GUI versions of software. Most of our GUI versions are currently available for SunSystems v4.3.2 on MS SQL Server 2000/5 databases.
