There were two overall winners this year; Kidney health Australia won a Business Improvement Award and the Newcomer Award went to MyChemist.

We would like to congratulate the winners and also thank all customers who participated in this competition for their contributions.

Overall Winner - Business Improvement

Kidney Health Australia

Kidney Health is a not for profit organization whose focus is to improve kidney health outcomes which lead to substantial improvements to the quality of life for people with kidney and urinary tract diseases, their families and carers, as well as developing initiatives that reduce the incidence of kidney disease in the Australian community.

With professional Advantage’s assistance KHA replaced an aged, unreliable and error prone system which had combined Call Centre and Fundraising databases. They implemented a new Call Centre solution in conjunction with a Microsoft CRM to manage the Data, Lottery and Order fulfillment requirements. Processes were built using the Scribe Integration Tool to manage the transfer of data between these components and created SQL stored procedures to integrate with Microsoft Dynamics GP Financials.

Primary benefits received

  • Incremental cost savings on maintenance fees between CRM & earlier database, estimated $25,000 per annum
  • Incremental cost savings on purchase of CRM and customizations between Microsoft CRM and earlier database, $100,000
  • Process improvements savings of $155,000
The total cost of ownership of the new system is significantly reduced from the systems it replaced.  The new system has appreciably lower recurring costs and has also eliminated the need for staff to work unacceptable amounts of non-business hours to maintain data and fundraising processes.  Reporting facilitated by the new system has simplified and shortened the time to perform banking and back office reconciliations. The new processes allow Kidney Health to save extensive time and money by efficiently running  finance and data processing departments using minimum staff in the knowledge that the systems are reliable and accurate.
