Microsoft Dynamics AX is named a leader and a visionary by Gartner
Gartner, a reputable analyst firm, has published its annual “Magic Quadrant” for mid-tier ERP solutions addressing the needs of companies with between 100 and 999 employees, and with annual revenue between $50 million and $1 billion.

Gartner sees this market as undergoing “changing of the guard," with older, established systems with deep functionality being displaced by more modern and agile systems. The key trends driving changes in this market are:
-
The packaging of industry-specific functionality
-
Technology modernization using service-oriented architecture (SOA)
-
The need for global deployments
As this change continues, Gartner concludes that only one offering qualifies as a leader in the market at this time: Microsoft Dynamics AX. The product is robust, it delivers low TCO through integration with other Microsoft products. If you would like to see its capabilities first hand, come to Info sessions “Up Close and Personal”. Empower staff to make more informed decisions with Business Intelligence for Microsoft Dynamics AX
A number of Business Intelligence tools are available for Dynamics AX to provide you with the ammunition required to make more informed business decisions based on the latest statistical figures. In this article we look at different tiers of Business Intelligence requirements.
Specifically, most organisations seek to satisfy three distinct types of informational BI needs;
These are:
Personal BI
Personal BI is what individuals use to accomplish tasks and make decisions specific to their particular role. This extends to delivering agile solutions focused on personal productivity, as found in Microsoft Office applications like Outlook, Excel, Visio, and other tools.
Team BI
People don’t only work as individuals—they work together toward common goals. That requires a different kind of BI—one that is focused on accountability throughout the team, and ensures that they are able to work in an environment where information can be accessed and analysed collaboratively.
Corporate BI
The work we do is ultimately aligned to the overall company goals and objectives. This is BI that everyone gets behind - the company goals and metrics and our team and personal tasks should all be flowing into and out of. So you need BI that helps get everyone on the same page and ensures that the entire organisation hits its goals and objectives. So to truly satisfy the needs of a competitive organisation, a BI solution must address the components of Personal BI, Team BI, and Organisational BI.
There are a number of methods to deliver relevant, timely and accurate business information to the user:
