QlikView Business Intelligence Positioned as a Leader in Gartner's Magic Quadrant

 

QlikView was placed in the leaders quadrant in Gartner, Inc.'s "Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence Platforms, 2010. Gartner’s view is that end-user adoption rather than the requirements of I.T. departments are what is driving the expanded use and demand for consumerised Business Discovery Solutions. [They should have] “Intuitive, fun interfaces” be “mobile” and allow “Business user data mashups” and it’s clear from this positioning in the Quadrant, that QlikView exceeds in these demands.

 

“QlikTech [developer of QlikView] is the poster child for a new end-user-driven approach to BI”  says Gartner reinforcing that what makes QlikView unique is a combination of five capabilities that, taken together, deliver a superior user experience, user-centric interactivity, associative experience, access to business data from anywhere, speed-of-thought analysis and rapid time to value.

 

Vendors in Gartner, Inc.'s "Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence Platforms are rated on their understanding of how market forces can be exploited to create value for customers and opportunity for themselves. Like the Ability to Execute criteria, in addition to Gartner analysts' opinions, the Completeness of Vision scores and commentary in this document are based on three sources: customer perceptions of each vendor's strengths and challenges derived from BI-related inquiries with Gartner; an online survey of vendor customers conducted in late 2010, yielding 1,225 responses; and a vendor-completed questionnaire about the vendor's BI strategy and operations.
