Have
you booked your Microsoft Great Plains upgrade?
If not you better be quick to jump on the V8 bandwagon!
As you are all aware, Microsoft released
the latest version of Great Plains in August and since then
many clients have already upgraded - 17 to be exact! We have
also been keeping busy with the 20 or so Version 8 upgrades
in the pipeline ready to be rolled out before Christmas.
"We wanted to upgrade to Version 8 to take advantage
of the new Business Portal and use it for access into Great
Plains for all the other offices across Australia... there was
minimal interruption to the users during the upgrade and it
was on time and professional"

Spotlight - Australian Racing Museum
Australian Racing Museum goes live with Microsoft Retail
Management System
A client
of Professional Advantage with Great Plains since 2002, Australian
Racing Museum, a part of Racing Victoria Limited, is home to the
country's finest collection of racing memorabilia. It was officially
opened in 1981 and is the only museum of its kind devoted to horseracing
in Australia.
Due
to their rapid growth, Racing Victoria saw a need for the expansion
of their Racing Museum retail stores from one to three in locations
throughout Melbourne. They also expanded their Direct Mail catalogue
service from a mix of 60 items to 120 items and are planning to
launch an on-line web store later this year. To help manage its
growing retail operations, Racing Victoria invested in Microsoft
Retail Management System (RMS) and integrated it into their existing
Microsoft Great Plains solution. The RMS and the WebStore will allow
Racing Museum to expand their business without adding additional
staff.
