Microsoft Convergence unveils solution enhancements

Microsoft Business Solutions held its 3-day annual customer event in Orlando Florida in March this year and Professional Advantage had the opportunity to preview upcoming versions of the Microsoft solutions.

Some of the exciting announcements made at the event include:

Microsoft Business Solutions Great Plains 8.0

Microsoft Great Plains 8.0, which is scheduled for release in the second half of the year, has been enhanced to deliver richer distribution, project accounting; a Microsoft Office look and feel; seamless integration with Microsoft Office; a deeper focus on Microsoft Business Portal functionality and improved usability.

Microsoft Business Solutions CRM

During the event, Microsoft CRM's ability to use Pocket PC was demonstrated. This will allow sales users to review data they choose to carry on the device before meetings and let them capture information gathered during sales calls or meetings. When the device is synchronized with Microsoft CRM, all the data can be automatically uploaded into the system. This Microsoft CRM Pocket PC functionality will be available in the second half of the year.
